Woman pronounced dead the scene of a collision near Whitbourne yesterday

    The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene and her passenger was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

    A 71-year-old woman is dead after a two-vehicle collision on the Trans-Canada Highway (TCH) near Whitbourne. Just before 2:00 p.m. yesterday, RCMP got a report of a collision involving a car and a RV(recreational vehicle). The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene and her passenger was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Both the driver and passenger of the RV were assessed by paramedics on the scene. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
