“There’s somethin funny goin on at the grocery store,” that’s a big part of a song called “the Food Inflation Blues” by Kevin Wastphal, otherwise known as “the Canuck.” He was a guest on Bayfm’s Scoffs and Scuffs this past weekend and started out picking and singing at a young age. Wastphal says that led to a teenage band and a long time with a band known as “the Salt Water Cowboy.” He says one night while playing in a club, the lead singer broke a string and asked him to entertain the crowd and that’s how it started.

“The Timmie tune” is a funny tribute to the daily ritual of grabbing a Tim Hortons coffee, Wastphal says it ended up being streamed directly to troops in Afghanistan since Tim Hortons opened a location there.
The Canuck’s Music is on Spotify and other platforms, videos can be found on youtube, or follow him on facebook.
