There are close to 3000 snowmobile groups in the world.
Not only did the Western Sno-Riders win the Canadian Council of Snowmobile Organizations Excellence Award-Club of the Year, for the second time in twenty years, there was another award. At a ceremony in Wisconsin over the weekend, they also walked away with an International Club of the Year Award and wil;l be inducted into the Snowmobile Hall of Fame. Glenn Green is the President of the Western Sno-Riders. He joined Bayfm’s Lenny Benoit to talk about the awards. Green says what set them aside from the rest was community engagement. He says helping the Bay of Islands Volunteer Search and Rescue with the purchase of a rescue sled means they can use that equipment all year round. Green says winning the awards should help with getting corporate sponsors on board. There are close to 3000 snowmobile groups in the world.
