West coast wakes up to wintery driving conditions, police advise snow means slow!

    Earlier this morning, one vehicle ended up on its roof on Maple Valley Road.

    West coast motorists awoke to a wintery morning today, which also meant slippery roads from St. George’s to Deer Lake and beyond. Several minor accidents in Corner Brook this morning with about 2cms of the white stuff. Earlier this morning, one vehicle ended up on its roof on Maple Valley Road. The RNC issued a reminder for residents in the Corner Brook region. Cst James Cadigan says slow down and drive according to the conditions in your area. He says make sure your vehicle is cleared from snow and ice, and allow extra time for your commute. Studded tires are permitted as of this coming Friday.
