This investment is part of the $1.4 billion in improvements to provincial roads and highways announced last year. All west coast  projects are in locations along the Trans Canada Highway. There will be some rehab work done on the TCH from PinchGut to Route 480, as well as the Crabb’s River bridge. Improvements will be made to the Wight’s Road Interchange. The Port Aux Basques Ferry Terminal Overpass will be replaced  and passing lanes will be constructed near the community.
