A 19 year old man, was pulled over on O’Connell Drive around 10;30 last night and was placed under arrest in connection with impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
Two men are facing impaired driving charges after being stopped by police in Corner Brook overnight. RNC Cst James Cadigan says the first driver, a 19 year old man, was pulled over on O’Connell Drive around 10;30 last night. The 19-year-old male operator was placed under arrest in connection with impaired operation of a motor vehicle. Following an investigation, he was charged with impaired driving offences, his license was suspended and the vehicle he was driving was seized. The accused was released from custody to appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
Just after 2 a.m. today (August 29), patrol officers conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle driving on Caribou Road. The 32-year-old male operator was determined to be impaired by alcohol in relation to the Highway Traffic Act (HTA). The man was issued a 7-day driving suspension and his vehicle was seized from the scene of the traffic stop.
