Transportation Minister to speak at Heavy Civil Association of Newfoundland and Labrador's AGM

    John Abbott says there is a road building boom taking place in NL.

    Transportation Minister John Abbott will speak at the Heavy Civil Association of Newfoundland and Labrador’s Annual General Meeting today. The group represents companies in the province’s road construction, water and sewer, and heavy construction industry. Abbott says there is a road building boom taking place in NL. Last year’s budget included $1.4 billion in road construction over the next five years. Abbott says there is still a lot of highway work to done  the next number of years. The AGM is taking place in St. John's.
