    Three new appointments to the NL Hydro Board of Directors, all previously Nalcor board members

    The appointments take effect December 31st.

    Industry Minister Andrew Parsons has announced three new appointments to the NL Hydro Board of Directors. All individuals were previously members of the Nalcor board of directors and were appointed based on a list of recommendations provided by the Independent Appointments Commission. The appointments take effect December 31st. The Act Respecting the Amalgamation of Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro-Electric Corporation and Nalcor Energy (Hydro Corporation Act, 2024) received Royal Assent on December 4th and will be proclaimed January 1st. The legislation will complete the legal merger of Nalcor Energy into Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro.
