The Bay of Islands Foodbank Network is hosting their annual “Spring into Action Food Drive” today at all four grocery stores in Corner Brook. Coordinator Damian Power says they need dry packaged foods or canned goods which have a long shelf life. This includes long spaghetti, plain white rice, tins of beans, soup, vegetables, as well as soda crackers.
Power says this is all about making sure families have what they need for the summer. He says during the month of March, they served 184 households in Corner Brook.
The Spring into Action Food drive at grocery stores in Corner Brook takes place from 1-5p.m. This event is in partnership with the Knights of Columbus.
