Mayor Jim Parsons says the hope was to have it repaired by Christmas and January to March is a different climate for road work.
Corner Brook Mayor Jim Parsons was a little disappointed at Monday night’s council meeting when it came to talking about the bridge on the Lewin Parkway. Parsons says a bridge bearing is being fabricated and it was due to be here by now. He says that’s not happening and the bearing won’t be here until January. Parsons says he’s getting a lot of calls about this and it is an arterial route in the city. He says the hope was to have it repaired by Christmas and January to March is a different climate. Parsons says more meetings are needed with officials of the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure.
