The festival will take place at four different venues throughout the city including the Arts and Culture Centre, the Salvation Army community church on O’Connell Drive, All Saints Anglican church on Premier Drive, and the Rotary Arts Centre.
Since 1952, the Corner Brook Rotary Music Festival has set the stage to give young musicians the opportunity to be judged by adjudicators and possibly kick start their career. This year, the festival will take place March 29th - April 4th. Organizer Paula Butt says the festival will take place at four different venues throughout the city including the Arts and Culture Centre, the Salvation Army community church on O’Connell Drive, All Saints Anglican church on Premier Drive, and the Rotary Arts Centre. The public can watch presentations.
David Pomeroy is from here, is a world renowned opera singer, and is also an adjudicator at this event. Butt says it’s a great learning opportunity for these young people. There are 300 entrants at this year’s Music Festival.
