The Jigs & Wheels Festival is returning to Broadway with an exciting lineup of musical artists for the city's annual opening weekend celebrations, this year the festival will feature two jam-packed nights.
The Jigs & Wheels Festival is returning to Broadway with an exciting lineup of musical artists for the city's annual opening weekend celebrations, this year the festival will feature two jam-packed nights.Tonight, Justin Fancy Band will headline with the Mallory Johnson Band, Beauwater and the Broadway Blues band will kick things off through the evening, and Jesse Hackett Band will close out the night.
Tommorow night, Renowned Metallica Tribute Metal Militia headlines, followed by Day For Night (Tragically Hip) closing out the night, with Humber Voltage and Supernaut also delivering the classics of AC/DC, and Black Sabbath. Tickets are available right now at www.tickettide.ca, $45 each night, or $70 for both (a $20 savings!). Early bird tickets for two nights are only $60, and limited to just 200 passes so first come, first served!
In between, everyone is invited to join us for a free admission open-air market on Broadway throughout the day on Saturday, July 25th with local vendors and tasty food. Glenda Simms is the Supervisor of Tourism with the City of Corner Brook.She says Broadway is closed from the intersection of Herald Ave / Caribou Road to the intersection of Concorde Ave. During this time, residents of Concorde Ave will be able to access their homes via temporary two-way access on Broadway from Valley Road. This closure will last until 2 pm Sunday.
