She says August 12th will have their 2nd annual Elmastukwek Mawio’mi. “Elmastukwek is the Mi’kmaq word for Bay of Islands and Corner Brook, “ she says. “We decided last year that this would be an annual event to embrace Mi’kmaq culture.” The event will take place at Blow me down ski park with a sunrise ceremony starting at 6 a.m. followed by breakfast.
