MUNSU’s Nathan Gillingham says it means the union will no longer provide funding, labour or operational oversight effective June 1st.
The student union at MUN has decided to cut ties with its radio station CHMR but will support it with space and equipment to become a community run station. At a news conference before the noon hour today, MUNSU’s Nathan Gillingham says it means the union will no longer provide funding, labour or operational oversight effective June 1st. This includes news reading, production and other on air activities. Gillingham says it does not necessarily mean the closure of CHMR and was purely a funding decision.
