    Slow going in the Wreckhouse area as police respond to an overturned transport trailer

    Although the TCH is currently passable, RCMP NL urges all motorists to drive with patience and proceed with extreme caution until conditions improve.

    TRAFFIC ADVISORY (May 26, 2026, 10:30 a.m.): Channel-Port aux Basques RCMP is currently responding to an overturned commercial transport trailer blocking a westbound lane of the Trans-Canada Highway in the Wreckhouse area.

    High winds are impacting travel conditions. Although the TCH is currently passable, RCMP NL urges all motorists to drive with patience and proceed with extreme caution until conditions improve.
