The Maritime Rescue Sub-Centre advised it would be ceasing its search, at which time the RCMP assumed lead of the investigation as a missing persons case at sea.
The search for a missing fisherman off the coast of Fleur de Lys is continuing. The man was one of four occupants on board a cod fishing boat that sunk on Monday afternoon. RCMP Cpl Jolene Garland says the search is now in the hands of the RCMP as a missing person at sea. Last night, the Maritime Rescue Sub-Centre advised it would be ceasing its search, at which time the RCMP assumed lead of the investigation as a missing persons case at sea. Cpl Garland searches of the shoreline and water are continuing on land and in the air. One man survived and two bodies have been recovered.
