Yesterday, the Justice Minister announced Corner Brook RNC will now also serve Pasadena, Massey Drive and the Bay of Islands.
Now that the Corner Brook RNC will begin policing Pasadena, Massey Drive and the Bay of Islands, the next step is transition. RNC Chief Pat Roche says it will take some time. The transition will occur over the next year, with an effective date to be finalized in the coming months. Chief Roche says they’re working on the number of officers and vehicles that will be needed. The new RNC jurisdiction will serve nearly 33,000 residents in the region.
