RNC ask people to be on the lookout for porch pirates looking to steal parcels

    Cst James Cadigan says security cameras act as a deterrent and it’s always a good idea to get to know your neighbours.

    The RNC is warning people about “porch pirates” or those who like to steal delivered packages from the steps of homes. It’s the busiest online shopping season of the year and police are out with tips to be prepared when all those deliveries start to come in. Cst James Cadigan says  to schedule deliveries to a secure location, use package hold options, and sign up for delivery alert. Cadigan says security cameras act as a deterrent and it’s always a good idea to get to know your neighbours. Always report suspicious activity by calling the RNC.
