Due to recent snowfall, Parks Canada has opened snowmobiling in some sections of Gros Morne National Park. Areas above 350 meters in elevation are open to snowmobiling. However, all areas west of Highway 430 and all areas at less than 350 meters in the park will remain closed to snowmobiling due to inadequate snow cover. The season is due close May 15th for resident permit holders and April 30th for commercial permit holders. Snowmobiling season dates are subject to change at the discretion of Parks Canada.
