Off road riders need to keep an eye out for possible traps
RCMP are warning off-road vehicle operators of recent traps and obstacles along the former railbed between Bay Bulls and Witless Bay. Corporal Jolene Garland says on Monday, a driver was knocked off his ATV after striking a ¾-inch steel cable that was strung across the trail. She says the cable was hung at neck height and struck the operator’s helmet. Cpl. Garland says they’ve also received reports of cut trees placed along the trail in the way.
