In addition to investigating crimes against people and property, the total includes requests for wellbeing checks, traffic enforcement, false alarms, people reported missing, support for those suffering from a mental health crisis and other public assistance.

RCMP in this province responded to more than 500 calls for service over the long Easter weekend. Cpl Jesse O’Donaghey says these calls represent the full breadth of support police provide — in addition to investigating crimes against people and property, the total includes requests for wellbeing checks, traffic enforcement, false alarms, people reported missing, support for those suffering from a mental health crisis and other public assistance. RCMP officers currently serve over 600 communities from more than 40 detachments across the province.
