The RCMP will work closely with the RNC and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador to ensure a smooth transition over the coming year.
Concerning the Corner Brook RNC expansion, the RCMP will not be commenting but they did release a statement. It reads: The RCMP will work closely with the RNC and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador to ensure a smooth transition over the coming year. To the communities included in the announcement, it has been the RCMP’s privilege to provide general duty policing services to you over many years, which we will continue to provide until this transition is complete. We will also continue to support public safety through our specialized units, including Federal Serious and Organized Crime. Our commitment to the people of Newfoundland and Labrador remains unchanged – the RCMP and our exceptional team of employees will proudly continue to serve and protect, and to contribute to the communities in which we live and work.
