Summer kickstarts with ATV safety
East coast RCMP will launch a Summer Safety Program this weekend and the focus will be on young people. Police and auxiliary members will be setting up educational check points in the areas of Horse Chops and Deer Park. Anyone seen showing safety, like wearing a helmet or using a lifejacket when boating, will be issued a “Safety Citation,” which contains a voucher for a prize at a later date. They will also hand out ATV safety information.
