RCMP ask public to report animal abuse and cruelty

    Fifty-two-year-old Toby Cadotte of Ontario was arrested on Monday and faces 19 counts of animal cruelty.

    RCMP are asking people to report any and all suspected cases of animal abuse or cruelty. Fifty-two-year-old Toby Cadotte of Ontario was arrested on Monday and faces 19 counts of animal cruelty. Shortly before 7:00 p.m. on Monday, police received a report of a gun shot that was fired in the backyard of a residence on Newhook’s Hill in New Harbour. Cst Jolene Garland says officers located nineteen dogs including puppies. Garland says people need to report animal abuse and cruelty. The two animals requiring care were transported to SPCA.
