Shortly before 7:00 p.m. on Monday, police received a report of a gun shot that was fired in the backyard of a residence on Newhook’s Hill in New Harbour. Cst Jolene Garland says officers located nineteen dogs including puppies. Garland says people need to report animal abuse and cruelty. The two animals requiring care were transported to SPCA.
