Rates for foster parents will increase next month for the first time in 12 years

    Effective June 1st, monthly foster funding will go from $395 per child to $680 and this will be in time for payments on June 16th.

    For the first time in 12 years, rates are going up for foster families and kinship carers.  Effective June 1st, monthly foster funding will go from $395 per child to $680 and this will be in time for payments on June 16th. As well, the annual operating funding for Foster Families Newfoundland and Labrador will increase to $500,000.
