Band Manager Charles Pender says Qalipu members live in 67 communities, the CNA has 17 campuses, and we support 175 students at CNA, which offers 100 programs.

The Qalipu First Nations have renewed a 5 year agreement with  the College of the North Atlantic. Band Manager Charles Pender says this renewal is a part of a previous 5 year memorandum of understanding but Covid interfered. He says the matter was discussed last year and decided it needed to be updated. Pender says Qalipu live in 67 communities, the CNA has 17 campuses, and we support 175 students at CNA, which offers 100 programs. He says the band funds post secondary students at various institutions. He says this is about acknowledging their relationship with the College of the North Atlantic and looking at how opportunities can  be expanded. Pender says this could be exploring different pathways for students out of high school or other programs that would be of value. More information can be found at qalipu.ca
