QFN has 8 client service officers who have 130 students each.
It’s an exciting time for post secondary students heading into a new semester but for some, there’s the stress of getting the funding in time. Paula Colombe is an administrative assistant in the Qalipu First Nations office in St. George’s. On Bayfm’s Qalipu today this week, she says her job is to help the Director but she also helps client services officers get students back in their seats. Colombe says through the band, there is funding available , as well as bursaries and scholarships. QFN has 8 client service officers who have 130 students each and 1,042 have received funding this winter semester. Colombe says funding is available for status members for all levels of education, including doctorates. For more information go to qalipu.ca
