Qalipu First Nation is busy with plans for a culinary event happening on Wednesday, May 13th in Corner Brook. It’s called “Mitji”, which means “let’s eat.” On Bayfm’s Qalipu Today, the guest was Jonah Rowsell, Manager of Tourism and Community Development. He says this event will feature chefs from Stephenville to Rocky Harbour and Mi’Lmaq chef from New Brunswick, Darren Peter-Paul who owns the Wabanaki Food Truck.
Rowsell says they’re not sure about what exactly will be on the menu, which will be decided at a workshop early that week with 8 local chefs taking part in the event. The event will also include music and takes place at the Hew and Draw on West Street May 13th, from 630-9 p.m.
