President and CEO Tammy Priddle says they will share details of their 2025-2029 Strategic Plan.

The Deer Lake Regional Airport was built in an area known as “Junction Brook’ in the 1960’s. It was a small community that relocated to Deer Lake at the time, which now has a population of about 5,000. The airport serves a catchment area of 124,000 people and provides air connections to places around the world. Tonight, the airport is hosting a public information session at the Holiday Inn Express starting at 6 p.m. President and CEO Tammy Priddle says they will share details of their 2025-2029 Strategic Plan. She says passenger traffic is on the rise at 11 percent more than 2023, and ended the year with over 330,000 passengers going through the airport. Priddle says they’ve introduced new airlines and new services, and routes for passengers. She says they completed their Master Plan last year and with this Friday past, closed a request for expressions of interest to get ideas from the business community. Including those who may want to develop on airport property. Priddle says this plan is focused on driving business growth and aligns with the board’s mandate.
