Mayor Jim Parsons says the plan will include all the details that are used to regulate how development is done.
The city of Corner Brook will be offering a variety of options starting next week for residents to have a say in what the municipal plan looks like for the next ten years. Mayor Jim Parsons says the first round of public consultations was held last fall and staff have a new draft document. He says the plan includes various perspectives, like economics, the environment, and social.
Parsons says the plan will include all the details that are used to regulate how development is done. He says more public consultations will start April 8th with a session at 2 p.m. at city hall for builders and developers. April 9th there will be an open house from 7-9 in city hall and on April 15th there will be a virtual session
Parsons says one major issue is housing and this plan will deal with making it easier for people to build apartments, or granny flats. The document and fact sheet will also be on the city’s website at cornerbroook.com
