The Community Sector Council NL is excited about the acquisition of a property in Stephenville that will become a “culturally informed childcare facility and community space. Located at 1 Washington Drive, it will be owned by the Mi’kmaw Cultural Foundation who can now begin renovations on the project. Colin Corcoran is the CEO of the Community Sector Council of NL. He says this was made possible via the Social Enterprise through Acquisition (SETA) program. The program matches non-profit, charitable, community and cooperative potential buyers with for profit, small business sellers throughout NL. An in-person celebration of the acquisition is getting underway at noon today at the Stephenville Lions Club.  The acquisition is also supported by Ulnooweg Development Group and GoParity Canada.
