The Trans Canada Highway near the Jeffreys turnoff is now open to traffic after a serious collision

    All lanes are now open to traffic

    UPDATE: As of  3:35 p.m., the TCH near the Jeffreys turnoff is now open to all lanes of travel.  RCMP thanks motorists for their patience.

    Earlier story:

    Bay St. George RCMP advises motorists that the TCH at Jeffreys turn off is impassable due to a serious collision. As of 11 a.m. this morning, officers are continuing to work in the area and will be for the next few hours.  Traffic can detour on Route 404 between Jeffreys and Robinsons.  Updates to follow.
