Pierre Poilievre continues his tour of the Maritimes

    Stats Canada reported this week that housing starts in the country have dropped by 9.7 percent from May to June. Poilievre says there are fewer homes being built now than in the seventies when there was half the population. 

    Federal Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre has wrapped up a visit to the province. He was in St. John’s after making stops in Lewisporte, Gander, and New-Wes-Valley. Poilievre met with families and workers to hear about their challenges including the costs of living, housing, and healthcare. Stats Canada reported this week that housing starts in the country have dropped by 9.7 percent from May to June. Poilievre says there are fewer homes being built now than in the seventies when there was half the population.  Poilievre is continuing his tour of the Maritimes this week.
