We are sending out accolades to Pasadena Fire Rescue Chief Jeremy Keeping on receiving the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Chief of Police Citizens Recognition Award. It is presented annually as part of Police Week and recognizes those who demonstrate exceptional bravery, volunteerism, selflessness, and meaningful contributions to public safety and the community. Pasadena Fire Rescue was nominated by Constable Skyler Pedal and the award was presented by Superintendent Ryan Wentzell and Inspector Amy Sharp, all from the Corner Brook detachment. Congratulations to Chief Jeremy Keeping and all members of Pasadena Fire Rescue on this well-deserved honour.
And congratulations also to Lark Harbour Councillor Andrew Francis, who also received the RNC Chief of Police Citizens Recognition Award earlier this week. Andrew was nominated for his actions last summer in rescuing a coworker after the excavator he was operating at the water’s edge slid into the water and became submerged. He swam out, pulled his coworker through the cab window, and brought him safely to shore.
