Opposition health critic speaks out about the state of hospitals and seniors' homes

    O’Driscoll says a lot of seniors' homes need work done, and they are also in worse shape than St. Clare’s Hospital.

    Ferryland MHA Loyola O’Driscoll is sounding the alarm over the condition of healthcare facilities in the province and the lack of transparency from government. An announcement was made last fall that the St. Clare’s hospital in St.John’s was being replaced. O’Driscoll says according to a recent Access to Information request filed by the Telegram there are several healthcare facilities in the province that are in worse condition, and Western Memorial was the worst. O’Driscoll says a lot of seniors' homes need work done, and they are also in worse shape than St. Clare’s Hospital.
