Nominations for the vacant council seats will take place today and tomorrow at the town office from 9 a.m to 4 p.m.

It’s nomination day in the town of Stephenville. Nearly half the council resigned recently and  two days have been set for nominations.  Mayor Tom Rose says a new Code of Conduct was challenging for councilors and that took a toll on council. He says it basically means anyone can file a complaint even if they don’t live in the town. Rose says residents also complained about the new Code of Conduct. Nominations for the vacant council seats will take place today and tomorrow at the town office from 9 a.m to 4 p.m. A by-election will be held March 6th.
