NLC sees double-digit growth in sales of cannabis

    2.1 million in cannabis vape products were sold during the first  quarter, which represents an 11 percent share of sales.  

    The Newfoundland and Labrador Liquor Corporation saw double-digit growth in cannabis sales during the first quarter ending July1st. The total sales rang in at $19.3 million which is up 25.7 percent over the previous year’s first quarter results. President and CEO Bruce Keating says this is largely due to the introduction of vape products here. NLC conducted 929 inspections of cannabis retails and liquor establishments, which is a 7 percent increase over the previous year. Keating says they didn’t find any illegal cannabis. $2.1 million in cannabis vape products were sold during the first  quarter, which represents an 11 percent share of sales.
