NL Power is inducted into Electricity Canada's 2024 Centre of Excellence

    President and CEO Gary Murray says . “Innovation is helping to build a resilient and sustainable energy future to best meet the needs of customers."

    Newfoundland Power has been inducted into Electricity Canada’s 2024 Centre of Excellence. Winning projects were announced in Toronto this week. Newfoundland Power partnered with a solutions provider for a pilot project that used AIevaluated satellite imagery for 500 kilometres of distribution lines, and assessment of future outages caused by vegetation. President and CEO Gary Murray says . “Innovation is helping to build a resilient and sustainable energy future to best meet the needs of customers." Newfoundland Power's project, along with seven others, was selected from over 50 applications by an independent judging panel.
