MHA’s are back in the House of Assembly today to meet on an extraordinary basis in relation to the Memorandum of Understanding between Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro and Hydro-Québec. This MOU puts an end to the 1969 Upper Churchill Contract and includes the intent to develop Gull Island at no cost to NL. Meanwhile, the head of NL Hydro will be joined by other experts to talk about details of the Churchill Falls MOU signed on Dec. 12th. President and CEO Jennifer Williams will host a series of webinars starting this weekend. Four 90-minute webinars will be held from January 12th-14th. Sign up is required and each session will include a presentation, as well as a moderated question and answer period. Participants can submit questions within the webinar platform during the session.
