As Newfoundland and Labrador gets ready to pay tribute to an unknown First World War soldier from this province on Monday, people throughout the province will be honouring the day in their own way. His remains will be entombed on the plateau of the Newfoundland National War Memorial.

Canada day has always been recognized as Memorial Day during the morning. Murphy says the Royal Canadian l egion Branch 13 in Corner Brook has a memorial service every year on this day at the war memorial in Curling which gets underway with a parade at 10:30 a.m.
