Mayor Jim Parsons says there are some big projects on the go, such as the former Western Star, Presentation school and Herald Tower.

Corner Brook has a historic low vacancy rate but the Mayor believes development is headed in the right direction. At Monday night’s council meeting, a new 6-unit apartment building was approved for 101 Country Road. Mayor Jim Parsons says there are some big projects on the go, such as the former Western Star, Presentation school and Herald Tower. Parsons says this type of development is attractive to seniors and communities for efficiency. Parsons says apartments are becoming more and more common across Canada.
