Marine Atlantic’s Manager of Corporate Communications says it will take some time to process around 110,000 refunds for passengers already booked to make a crossing on the Gulf. For example, a family of four will save 3-400 for a crossing.
Changes will take effect this Thursday, August 1st. Mercer says refunds are coming but will take some time. Meanwhile, Mercer says they’ve seen a bump in bookings this season with about 9,000 more passengers than the same period last year. He says the company will be looking at bookings for the fall and winter seasons to determine the capacity needed.
