It’s hard to believe but the Marina Redmond Centre in Corner Brook has been open for nearly a year. To mark this anniversary Recreation and Tourism has planned an event this Sunday with the centre open to the public. On Bayfm with Lenny Benoit, Mayor Linda Chaisson says this includes free swims from 11 a.m. to 1p.m., and 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m, the gym is open free from 10 a.m until 5 p.m., and for one day only half price membership. Chaisson says after a year, the city will be able to figure out what it costs to run the centre. There will also be live music and treats at the Marina Redmond Centre this Sunday.
