Man and woman arrested after a weekend robbery at a residence in Corner Brook

    A 20 year old man suffered injuries after being assaulted in his own residence during a robbery at approximately 6:30 a.m.

    The RNC Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) have arrested a man and woman following a weekend robbery in Corner Brook. Cst James Cadigan says police were called out to the Riverhead Road area early Saturday morning. A 20 year old man suffered injuries after being assaulted in his own residence during a robbery at approximately 6:30 a.m. It was believed that a man and woman had forced entry to an apartment, assaulted the resident, and left the property with several items. This was a targeted attack. Cadigan says later that evening, officers arrested a man and woman both living in Corner Brook. The 41-year-old woman was charged with robbery and breach of court orders. The 29-year-old man was charged with robbery and failure to comply with a release order. The accused were held in custody to appear in Provincial Court.
