"This bee collab festival that’s happening from August 4th to the 6th, is a celebration of the NL honeybee,” says Sherman Downey.

All the buzz this week is about an event that’s bound to bee fun! Pollen Nation Farm located in Little Rapids is having an event this weekend that includes honey, bees, music and food! Sherman Downey dropped by the studio on Friday to talk about the event and the importance of the NL honeybee. “The NL Honeybee is special to the planet because it’s only in NL and one other place in the world where honeybees don’t get mites,” he says. “This bee collab festival that’s happening from August 4th to the 6th, is a celebration of the NL honeybee.” Downey says everyone is welcome to come out and meet the NL honeybee this weekend. “They have a place where all the hives are and you can stand amongst the bees, and it’s very calming,” he says. “I’ll be playing with the Once, Mikayla Barry, Bridgette Park and Amy Dwyer, some great local musicians.” For more information go to www.pollennationfarm.ca
