Long Range Mountain MP Gudie Hutchings announced she will not be seeking re-election but that doesn’t mean she has stopped working. Hutchings will stay on and work for constituents until the Liberal Party can find a candidate to run in the next federal election. She says one of the biggest challenges rural Canadians faced was getting a reliable internet connection, something she plans on continuing to improve. Hutchings feels she made the right decision by stepping away from politics at this time in her lifetime. She is a three time MP for this riding and has been active in the Liberal Party for the past decade.
