Less snow means more dough

    City of Corner Brook saves on snow clearing.

    It looks like the city of Corner Brook has a little help from Mother Nature with paying the bills. For the first 3 months of this year, the city has saved money in the snow clearing budget due to a lack of snow. Mayor Jim Parsons says it’s too early to tell if they’ll actually have extra money since what's left in the budget is needed this winter. However, the Mayor says “they’re cautiously optimistic” about the next winter season.
