Len Moores has been appointed Chair of the 2026 Newfoundland and Labrador Summer Games, coming to Corner Brook in August. In 2016, Moores was Chair of the Special Olympics Canada 2016 Winter Games Organizing Committee, where he led a team of volunteers in delivering a nationally celebrated event that welcomed athletes and coaches from across Canada.
The games will take place August 8th-15th, bringing together hundreds of athletes, coaches, officials, and volunteers from throughout the province to compete in a wide range of sports. Moores says the Host Committee is ready for the work ahead and the push is on now for volunteers.
