Industry Minister Andrew Parsons is excited about growth and the future of a Corner Brook based business. AllRock Consulting Ltd., got a financial boost of $172K from his department to research and develop a new and innovative way to conduct geotechnical testing using artificial intelligence. Parsons says AI is becoming an important portion of almost everything and if a company wants to grow they have to get involved with AI to basically get better. This announcement leverages $230,000 from other sources and $308,662 investment from the company. AllRock is a 100 per cent Indigenous-owned Newfoundland and Labrador company. Parsons says it is part of the reconciliation process which was around the same time he entered politics. Bayfm News contacted the head of AllRock Consulting, Scott Allen, for an interview. He says right now, they are working on finalizing a patent so things are pretty tight lipped. Allen says the patent should be finalized in the first quarter of 2025 and hit the market in May. He expects to be able to share more details at that time.
