The moose population management program in Gros Morne National Park opened this weekend and will close January 28th, There are three different hunting zones within the national park boundary with different opening dates for each zone, and a fourth zone that is closed to hunting. The area within 1 km of Western Brook Bridge and route 431 in Trout River Gulch will be closed to hunting this season due to construction. Hunting is not permitted within 1 km of any construction.
